Main Stadium
The whole construction of the Main Stadium, with a capacity of 40,000 seats, designed by Toyo Ito, only required two years of work, and was finally tested for lighting facilities on January 15, 2009.
The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts
The Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts was originally a Neiweipi wetland filled with irrigation ponds (Pitang in Chinese). After southern Taiwan’s first public fine art museum was founded in 1994, it became southern Taiwan’s most important modern art and culture hub.
Lianchitan (Lotus Pond) Scenic Area
Lianchitan (Lotus Pond) Scenic Area is one of Kaohsiung’s most traditional scenic areas, and was listed as one of the “Eight Sights of Fongshan” in the Qing Dynasty. There are pavilions by the beach, massive statues of gods and the “old city”, surrounded by the city wall, living settlements such as historical sites, old houses, and military dependents’ villages and you can also sample Zuoying’s rich, diverse food in the old streets and traditional markets. The Longhu Tower (Dragon Tiger Tower) is the most famous scenic spot in Lianchitan.

The Indigenous Botanical Garden
This is Taiwan’s first park dedicated to indigenous plants. Spanning an area of 4.66 hectares, it was built using the most natural methods, combining undulating terrain and the old Cao Dam’s original water channels to produce something like a snapshot of nature.
Dome Shopping District
With the Kaohsiung Arena and Hanshin Department Store as the main axis, the Arena often has large-scale exhibitions. In addition to enjoying shopping and food, you can also go for a walk in Aozidi Forest Park.
Rueifong Night Market
With its international delicacies vying for visitors’ attention, stalls selling creative combinations of fine food at reasonable prices, and entertainment stalls which also raise a laugh to help visitors relax.
